Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

This policy explains how Open Internet Speed Test (package com.codegres.speedtest, "the app") handles information. The app is published by Koyama Studio ("we", "us"). Contact: info.koyama.studio@gmail.com.

The short version

What the app does with your connection

When you run a speed test, your device downloads and uploads test data to and from our test server (hosted on Cloudflare's network; older versions of the app load the test page from Amazon Web Services). Like any internet request, this reveals your IP address to the server and to its hosting provider, which may keep standard access logs. We do not use these logs to identify you and do not combine them with other data.

Data stored on your device

The app saves your last 10 test results (download, upload, ping, jitter and the time of the test) and your ad-free subscription status in the app's private storage. This data is not sent to us. Clear it from the History screen, or by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Unless you have an ad-free subscription, the app shows ads using the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google and its ad partners may collect and use: your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers, IP address and approximate location derived from it, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information such as crash logs, for serving and measuring ads, fraud prevention and analytics. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your choices. Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some US states) the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads. You can change your choice later from History → Privacy settings. On Android you can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization in Settings → Privacy → Ads. An ad-free subscription removes ads.

Purchases

The ad-free subscription is sold and processed by Google Play. We receive only whether a subscription is active; we never receive your payment details.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with Google (advertising and purchases, as above) and with the hosting provider of the test server (network requests, as above).

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

We do not hold personal data that identifies you. If you are in the EEA, UK or another region with data-protection rights and believe we hold data about you, contact us at info.koyama.studio@gmail.com. For data held by Google, use Google's own tools and privacy controls.

Security

Test traffic and ad requests use encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or on the store listing.
